November Meeting –Business meeting with show & tell followed by a wet-felting project.
We'll be doing flat projects like chair pads, hot pads, pictures, wall hangings or holiday hangings and/or round projects like cat toys, holiday ornaments, felted bars of soap. The guild will purchase some wool but if members would like to use some of their own, they should bring it along. Members should also bring any kind of embellishments like wool yarns, colored wool, locks, or other fibers to felt into their project. Bring a few large towels and a plastic spray bottle to use to keep fibers wet and soapy, a plastic bag to take project home is a good idea as well
Annual Dues – if you have not yet paid your annual dues, please get them in at this meeting – $20 for the year, Guild Year runs September to June.
Due date is the November Meeting.
Baskets to Cherish was not able to do our workshop in February because of a family event of some kind taking place on that date. We have, however, confirmed May 21st for the basket workshop. We were talking about a road trip to the Rush show that day, but need to go on Sunday if interested as a group. We have a choice of baskets - either the Williamsburg basket or a yarn basket, and there will be samples of each at the January or February meeting. Everyone will need to be making the same basket. The materials fee will be $30-$35 for either one.
Also, keep Christmas Around the World at Fort St. Marie in mind for the holiday season. Looking for demonstrators Friday and Saturday, 5 - 9, weekends after Thanksgiving until the week before Xmas.
