June Spin

TIME:  11:00 AM until you want to leave or they kick you out ! (5:00 PM)

 

Bring a Bag Lunch 

   (there is a gift shop for water and soda, and a few munchies)

 

The basket workshop was great fun and everyone’s baskets were just beautiful !    Bring your basket to show off to the folks who were unable to be there !

 

 

Our first annual Fiber Frolic was a success!   We  had very positive feedback from the vendors who were appreciative of our “lime green” T-shirts in that we were easy to spot.  Also, they loved the coffee and donuts as well as the venue.  Almost all of the vendors expressed their interest in returning for the event next year ! ! !    

 

There will be sign-ups available at St. Marie and at the July Picnic for demonstrations at the Wool Center at the NYS Fair and for the Finger Lakes Fiber Festival and the Golden Harvest Festival this fall.  We have expressed our interest in participating in these events so let's put in a good showing!   Our annual planning meeting will be scheduled soon as well! 

The July Picnic will be at Kathie's camp on Sunday July 17, 2011. 

 

 

  

 

Announcing our first annual Golden le Tour de Fleece -- Okay -- we "borrowed" the idea - but thought it would be fun to organize our own Golden Tour de Fleece.  We’ll have some information at the spin at St. Marie’s.  Fun, challenges, games and prizes  ! ! !    Wear Yellow for the St. Marie Spin and start forming your teams !  We’ll provide log sheets on June 18th so you can start logging “miles” and “challenging hill climbs”.  These forms will also be provided electronically so you can keep track on the computer.  

 We’re thinking teams of 3 -- and the challenge goes from June 18th until the July 17th Picnic where there will be final sprints, awards and prizes.
